Stand out from the crowd with an ITQ Social Media Qualification
Social Media is an important part of business marketing. Businesses use Social Media to communicate with their customers, provide customer service, build their brand and increase their internet footprint. Many businesses are looking for people to provide advice or content management either in house or outsourced. How do businesses tell who really understands how to use Social Media and who is just jumping on the bandwaggon? This qualification will help.
Who is this for?
This qualification is for anybody who wants to really understand how to use Social Media for their own business or to provide Social Media help for others. This qualification not only checks whether you have the skills to provide the service but also assess your knowledge and understanding of best practice. This qualification will help you stand out from the crowd.
I don’t need another piece of paper
ITQ is a nationally recognised qualification overseen by e-Skills UK. The Social Media flavour of ITQ has just be launched City & Guilds. You can only achieve the qualification through Concise Training. It is available at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE) and Level 3 (equivalent to ‘A’ Level).

The qualification is assessed and not only checks whether you have the IT skills to use Social Media, but also checks whether you can create and implement a Social Media strategy and whether you have the underlying knowledge and understanding of best practice. It is a real quality mark of your ability to use Social Media. Why not be one of the first to show others that you have the underlying knowledge and understanding of Social Media?

How do I get the qualification?
Once you have signed up for the qualification, we will talk to you by telephone to explain how the qualification works, how you gather evidence and the tasks that you are asked to complete. For example, at Level 3 you are asked to complete 20 tasks. We will assess your training requirements and identify the best way to meet these requirements (face to face training, workshops or online training).
Over the following weeks, we will have regular telephone calls to provide ongoing support and answer any questions that you have. During this time you will be assessed on an ongoing basis via your Social Media updates and a personal blog. We are working with DawsonLoane to provide registration with City & Guilds and Internal Verification.
How long does it take?
We would expect the Level 3 qualification to take between 4 and 7 months (180 learning hours). This exact time will be dependent upon the individual. Each person will be starting at a different point and the time for the qualification will vary appropriately.
What is the Cost?
The cost of the qualification is split into two parts:
Registration, Assessment and Support
This includes the cost of registration / certification with City & Guilds, assessment of online posts and blog entries and other exercises, verification to ensure quality and 8 hours of 1 – 1 telephone support. Contact us to find out about group discounts and special offers.
Training
Training costs are dependent on your individual needs and current knowledge. You can ‘pic ‘n mix’ from workshops, instructor led online training, webinars and training on your client site. Training is offered in all areas of the course, but only you know what training you require. Contact us now to discuss your training needs.
